Tunisian Investment Authority Hosts Chinese Delegation to Boost Automotive Sector
A delegation of ten Chinese suppliers participated in a meeting dedicated to the automotive components sector with Tunisian professionals and representatives of public organizations, announced the Tunisian Investment Authority (TIA) in a statement released on Monday.
Meeting Overview
The meeting, held on September 18, 2025, in Tunis, brought together over 100 participants. The event highlighted the exceptional mobilization of the Tunisian economic ecosystem (public organizations, professional organizations, and private sector actors) around common objectives: supporting investment projects, attracting new investors, and encouraging job creation.
Initiative Background
According to the TIA, this initiative is part of a visit organized by the Chinese groups Taikang Electronics (specialized in precision mechatronic systems for the automotive industry) and Autoliv Europe (manufacturer of automotive safety equipment). The goal was to emphasize Tunisia's potential as a key regional platform for the automotive industry.
Presentation and Testimonials
On this occasion, a presentation on the added value of Tunisia in this sector was made, accompanied by testimonials from international investors.
Bilateral Meetings
The meeting was also marked by the organization of bilateral meetings between nine Chinese companies, representing various links in the automotive industry value chain (cables, electronics, mechanical components, plastics, etc.), and more than ten Tunisian companies, as well as subsidiaries of international companies established in Tunisia.
