Arwa Ben Dhia: A Voice for Peace and Humanity

Arwa Ben Dhia plans to continue writing and translating poems about the horrors of war, particularly in relation to the genocide in Gaza. "In powerlessness, it's my way of expressing outrage against atrocities and defending the Palestinian cause from afar," she confided in us.

A Passionate and Humanist Literary Career

The young Franco-Tunisian poet Arwa Ben Dhia recently received the honorary title of Ambassador of Peace from the international and independent association, the Universal Circle of Ambassadors of Peace, in June 2025. This distinction crowns a passionate and humanist literary career that she has pursued for many years, parallel to a remarkable scientific career.

From Scientific Rigor to Poetic Freedom

With four major collections and numerous publications in prestigious journals, Arwa Ben Dhia has distinguished herself through the evocative power of her poetry, which explores both intimate and universal themes. She writes primarily in French, but also in English and Spanish, to denounce crimes against nature and humanity, the alienation of thought, and all forms of intellectual submission.

Literary Achievements

In 2014, she published her first collection, "L'amour aux temps du web" (Love in the Age of the Web), which includes poems, short stories, and haikus that tell the story of a love that defies distance, age, and time. Her subsequent collections, "Voyage de senteurs" (Journey of Scents) in 2015 and "Silence Orange" in 2023, have received critical acclaim and numerous awards. Her fourth collection, "Les quatre et une saisons" (The Four and One Seasons), published in 2024, has been a great success and has won several prizes, including the International Poetic and Artistic Prize of the poéféministe review Orientales.

A Commitment to Peace and the Environment

Arwa Ben Dhia is also passionate about translation and has translated poems of resistance, including texts by the political activist and cultural activist Alexandra Cretté. She is currently translating the collection "Palestiniada" by the renowned Palestinian poet Ali Al Ameri. For her, "in a world torn apart by wars, poets must be the voice of wisdom, guiding humanity towards the light in the darkness." Her mission as an Ambassador of Peace is to continue working for peace through her writing, sharing her poetry with others to raise awareness about the importance of peace, and being a model of pacifism in her daily life.

A Double Vocation: Science and Poetry

Arwa Ben Dhia's literary career is complemented by a high-level scientific career. After completing her doctorate in electronics at Télécom Paris and obtaining her qualification as a master of conferences, she earned a diploma from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (Ceipi) at the University of Strasbourg. She is currently a qualified industrial property consultant and has written a scientific book, "Designing a Robust Mesh of Clusters Fpga: Hardening basic blocks," published in 2015.

A Unique Path

Through her double vocation, Arwa Ben Dhia has forged a unique path that combines analytical vision, demonstration, and inspiration, logic and intuition. Her work will undoubtedly lead to many more successes in the future.
