Ariana Governorate Launches Insecticide Spraying Operation in Several Zones

The Ariana Governorate has initiated a spraying operation of insecticides in several areas as part of the rural gite insect control program. The scheduled interventions will take place in the following zones:

• The banks of the Sebkha d'Ariana
• Low-lying coastal areas stretching from Gammarth to the north of Raoued
• Marshlands located in the Jaafar forest and behind the Chotrana wastewater treatment plant, near the Ennakhilat neighborhood

Operation Schedule

The operation will continue throughout the day and until May 31, 2026.

Precautions for Beekeepers

In a statement, the Ariana Governorate has urged beekeepers to take necessary precautions to preserve and protect their beehives in the affected areas during the insecticide spraying day and the 24 hours following it.
