Tunisia Launches Initiative to Foster Innovation and Autonomy in Youth through Gaming Labs

In the framework of strengthening digital innovation and empowering Tunisian youth in modern technologies, a call for proposals has been officially launched to create and enhance electronic gaming laboratories (Gaming Labs). This initiative is specifically addressed to Tunisian associations.

This action is part of the implementation of the SWAFY LABS program, executed in strategic partnership between the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (ANPR) and the Orange Tunisie Solidarité foundation, with the support of the European Union in Tunisia through the "European Union for Youth" program.

This step reaffirms the importance of partnership and synergy between public research structures, the private sector, and civil society, supported by international partners. The goal is to stimulate digital transition and make technology a key driver for youth development and inclusion in Tunisia.

The program aims to provide an opportunity for civil society components and active associations in different regions of the Republic to present innovative projects. These projects will contribute to the creation of advanced technological spaces or the development of existing laboratories.

These "Labs" will have the mission of training and guiding young people in the fields of the video game industry, programming, and digital technologies. This will open up promising professional perspectives in a rapidly expanding global sector, while contributing to their economic and social integration.

The organizers have called on all interested associations that meet the legal and administrative conditions to submit their candidacy files quickly before the registration deadline, set for May 31, 2026.

Associations wishing to participate and learn about the eligibility criteria can consult the official portal of the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (ANPR).
