Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Rejects Any Talks with Washington
Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has declared that Iran will not negotiate with the United States under any circumstances.
The statement comes in response to reports in some U.S. media outlets claiming that Iran’s new leadership had agreed to open negotiations with Washington after the U.S.–Israeli attack on Iran, which was followed by an Iranian retaliation against the “Zionist entity” and several American sites in Gulf countries.
Larijani posted on his personal X (formerly Twitter) page:
“Trump plunged the region into chaos with his illusory dreams, and now he worries about suffering further losses among U.S. forces.”
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal had reported that Larijani was initiating new steps to resume talks with Washington.
