International Railway Services Between Algeria and Tunisia

The National Society of Railway Transport (SNTF) has made public the details of international services connecting Algeria to Tunisia, with regular departures scheduled from and to Annaba and Tunis.

Schedule

According to the published schedule, trains will depart from Annaba on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 9:00 AM, arriving in the Tunisian capital at 6:27 PM, after stopping at Souk Ahras, Ghardimaou, Jendouba, and Béja. For the return journey, departures from Tunis are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:25 AM, with arrival in Annaba at 6:20 PM.

Customs and Police Formalities

Customs and police formalities will be carried out at the international station of Souk Ahras for the Algerian side and at Ghardimaou for the Tunisian side.

Ticketing

Regarding ticketing, travelers can purchase their tickets at Annaba, Souk Ahras, as well as at the main stations in the country, including Algiers, Oran, and Constantine.

Fare Schedule

The published fare schedule sets the price of a one-way ticket at 1,900 dinars in first class and 1,640 dinars in second class, while the return ticket is offered at 3,485 and 3,040 dinars, respectively. Children under four years old travel for free, and those aged 4 to 12 years old benefit from a 50% discount.
