National Meteorological Institute Issues Weather Alert
The National Meteorological Institute (INM) published a weather alert on Thursday for the northern and central regions of the country, announcing occasional thunderstorms and locally intense rain showers starting from this evening.
Affected Areas
According to the monitoring bulletin, the governorates of Bizerte, Béja, and Jendouba are particularly concerned, with daily rainfall totals ranging from 20 to 40 mm, potentially reaching up to 60 mm locally, accompanied by hail. These conditions are expected this evening and tomorrow, Friday, December 5, 2025.
Weather Conditions
Meteorologists also report wind gusts that may exceed 70 km/h, mainly during thunderstorms, affecting the north, coastal areas, and highlands.
Forecast
The INM specifies that the activity of these disturbances should subside from Saturday, December 6, 2025, with a gradual return to higher temperatures.
Precautions
Local authorities and citizens are invited to exercise increased vigilance, particularly for road traffic and areas exposed to flooding and hail.
