Tunisia to Participate in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games
Tunisia will take part in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, held in Riyadh from November 7 to 21, with a delegation of 51 athletes (18 women and 33 men) competing in 13 sports disciplines.
The represented disciplines include:
- Swimming
- Athletics
- Para-athletics
- Boxing
- Fencing
- Judo
- Jujitsu
- Karate
- Taekwondo
- Weightlifting
- Wrestling
- Wushu kung-fu
- Electronic sports
Tunisia will be represented by experienced and renowned athletes, including:
- Ahmed Jaouadi, world champion in the 800m and 1500m freestyle events at the 2025 Singapore World Championships
- Fares Ferjani, Olympic silver medalist in sabre fencing at the 2024 Paris Olympics
- Marwa Bouzayani, fourth place in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2025 Tokyo World Championships
- Marwa Brahmi, gold medalist in the hammer throw at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games
- Yassine Gharbi, gold medalist in the 400m wheelchair event at the 2025 New Delhi World Championships
The Islamic Solidarity Games mark the return of this competition to Saudi Arabia, which hosted the first edition in 2005 in the cities of Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and Taif.
Since its first participation, Tunisia has won 37 medals at these Games, including 4 gold, 4 silver, and 29 bronze medals.
The 2025 Riyadh Islamic Solidarity Games will be an opportunity for Tunisian athletes to prepare for upcoming major international sports events.
