Tunisian swimmer Ahmed Ayoub Hafnaoui expressed his ambition to break a world record alongside his compatriot Ahmed Jaouadi, as they prepare for upcoming international events. Speaking on the national radio, Hafnaoui highlighted that the training conditions in Florida offer a more professional environment conducive to high-level performance.

Hafnaoui is training in a group led by coach Anthony Nesty, alongside his teammate Ahmed Jaouadi and several world champions, including Bobby Finke and Katie Ledecky. According to Hafnaoui, this setup provides an ideal framework for progression and striving for excellence.

Reflecting on his career, Hafnaoui recalled that his swimming journey began at the El Menzah pool, before continuing his training at the Bardo pool as part of the police association. At the age of six, he joined the Espérance sportive de Tunis under the guidance of coach Tawfik Obeid, where he won his first medal at the national championships.

Currently, Hafnaoui is preparing for the Mediterranean Games in Tarente 2026, scheduled from August 21 to September 3. This event is a significant milestone in his sporting calendar.
