Eight Clubs Qualify for CAF Champions League Quarterfinals
Eight clubs have validated their qualification for the quarterfinals of the CAF Champions League, including six representatives of Arab football, following the group stage matches played over the weekend.
Group Stage Results
In Group A, Pyramids FC finished top ahead of Moroccan club RS Berkane. The Group B was dominated by Egyptian club Al Ahly SC, the title holders, followed by AS FAR. In Group C, Sudanese club Al Hilal Omdurman took the top spot ahead of South African club Mamelodi Sundowns, the only non-Arab club among the top two in this group. Finally, Group D saw Stade Malien finish as leaders, while Espérance Sportive de Tunis qualified as runners-up.
Quarterfinals Draw
The draw for the quarterfinals and the rest of the knockout stages is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, and will determine the matchups for a highly anticipated final phase.
