National Institute of Statistics Reveals Key Insights into Tunisian Households

The National Institute of Statistics (INS) has disclosed that 75.1% of Tunisian households are homeowners, reflecting the deep-rooted culture of residential property ownership and ensuring family stability.

According to data presented on Monday during the sixth meeting of the National Committee for the General Census of Population and Housing 2024, 97.70% of homes are connected to the STEG network. This indicator testifies to the progress made in generalizing access to basic services.

The census also revealed that the school enrollment rate for the 6-14 age group reaches approximately 97.3%, while 4.5% of children aged 6-16 remain out of school.

In terms of technology, 59.5% of households own a smart TV, and 40.4% of households are connected to the internet.
