Drone Debris Falls on Etihad Towers, Causing Minor Injuries
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Fragments from a drone that was intercepted by the emirate’s air‑defence system landed on the façade of a building in the Etihad Towers complex, lightly injuring a woman and her child, local authorities said.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the incident also caused minor property damage to the affected tower.
Emergency services responded quickly after the debris fell, a direct result of the drone’s interception by the air‑defence network.
Officials clarified that the noises heard across several areas of the emirate were linked to the successful interception operations. They urged the public not to spread rumors or unverified information and to rely solely on official sources.
The authorities added that any further developments will be communicated as soon as new information becomes available, as reported by Sky News Arabia.
