Celebrating Mother's Day: Sweden's Ambassador to Tunisia Honors Kicki and Sandra Jaballah, Founders of Nour Olive Oil
A Story of Tradition, Love, and Cultural Exchange
On the occasion of Mother's Day, the Swedish Embassy in Tunisia has chosen to highlight the inspiring story of Kicki and Sandra Jaballah, a mother-daughter duo who co-founded Nour Olive Oil, a premium Tunisian organic olive oil brand that has made a name for itself on the Swedish market.
In a social media post, the embassy celebrated a journey that embodies "transmission, love of roots, and dialogue between cultures" through this entrepreneurial initiative that bridges Tunisia and Sweden.
A Family Legacy of Olive Oil Production
Nour Olive Oil's roots date back to a family-owned olive grove in Tunisia, which has been cultivated for four generations. Some of the olive trees on the estate are over 400 years old, a testament to the agricultural heritage passed down through the generations.
Kicki and Sandra explain that the idea to create the brand was born in Sweden, after their friends and family expressed interest in the quality and flavors of their Tunisian organic olive oil. Their ambition is to share not just a product, but a genuine Mediterranean way of life and authentic Tunisian cuisine.
Building a Bridge Between Two Worlds
Through Nour Olive Oil, Kicki and Sandra aim to build a "bridge between two universes": Tunisia, which they describe as the symbol of their roots and family heritage, and Sweden, seen as a space of opportunities, innovation, and development.
The duo also emphasizes their commitment to sustainable production and highlights the international recognition of Tunisian expertise, with Nour Olive Oil winning two gold medals at the international BIOL competition in Italy, dedicated to organic olive oils.
A Bright Future Ahead
For the future, the two entrepreneurs plan to develop their activity through immersive experiences around Tunisian olive oil, including olive oil tastings and organized trips to Tunisia during the harvest season.
"Being Tunisian-Swedish entrepreneurs is about transforming two identities into a richness and sharing it with the world," they emphasized.
