Tunisian Engineer Donates Valuable Property to SOS Children's Village
The president of the Tunisian SOS Children's Village Association, Mohamed Makdich, announced that a Tunisian engineer residing in the United States has donated a property valued at approximately one billion millimes to the association.
Property Details
The property, located on the Thyna road in Sfax, spans 850 m² and features two two-story houses, each with an area of around 300 m². These homes will be used to accommodate and house children under the care of SOS.
Donation Background
According to Mohamed Makdich, the donor, who recently visited Tunisia with his wife for the Mouled celebration, met with the association's officials in the presence of a lawyer to finalize the transfer procedures. This gesture fulfills the wish of his late mother, who had recommended that the property be donated as a charitable act rather than sold.
Donor's Motivation
The president of SOS Children's Village also noted that the donor has been following the association's activities for over a year to ensure its transparency and good governance. This donation is a significant contribution to the association's mission to provide a safe and supportive environment for children in need.
