Preparations for Ramadan 2026: A Month of Joy and Reflection

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, everyone is mobilizing to create the best possible conditions for a successful fast and abstinence, in line with the principles of the sublime Islamic religion. In the spirit of sharing the feeling of fulfilling one of the fundamental precepts of Islam and experiencing the joy of living a month of joy and reflection. Far from the situations that our country experienced during the period of errors when fasting was transformed, under the influence of certain extremists, into a difficult ordeal during which Tunisians were forced to follow imported and depraved practices, under penalty of being accused of heresy and being subjected to lynching by the street, also at the mercy of professionals of lies and ideological depravity. Today, thanks to the recentring of ideas and behaviors operated by President Kaïs Saïed since his accession to the Carthage Palace, Islam has regained its former nobility titles and the celebration of the month of reflection now obeys the criteria of militancy, in its broadest sense. By leaving aside the practices to which the governments of bygone eras had accustomed Tunisians to festivals where their dignity and absolute right to respect were flouted. Ramadan 2026 will, without a doubt, be different from those that preceded it because Tunisians will live it with the conviction that this time, they will effectively access their absolute right to the esteem that their status as free, responsible, and builder citizens of a better future for all, regardless of any ideological consideration, provides. Because they have deserved, thanks to their maturity, the status of makers of history and progress of humanity. Read also: Ramadan 2026: it's the shopping frenzy that's driving up prices!
