Grand Development Project for Ben Ghayadha in Mahdia to be Officially Presented on May 20, 2026

The Grand Development Project for Ben Ghayadha in Mahdia will be officially presented on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:30 am at the Kram Exhibition Park, as part of the International Construction and Building Exhibition - CARTHAGE 2026, on the dedicated stand for the Mahdia region. This presentation is part of an effort to promote and value one of the most structuring urban, tourist, and economic projects on the Tunisian coast.

Implemented within the framework of a technical assistance device for the Tunisian government to select a strategic partner, the project involves several major national institutions, including the General Instance of Public-Private Partnership (IGPPP), the Deposits and Consignments Fund (CDC), the Mahdia Governorate, and SEBAG. This meeting organized at the CARTHAGE exhibition is an important step in structuring the project and increasing its visibility among national and international investors.

Through this official presentation, the stakeholders aim to highlight the main orientations of a project that will transform the Mahdia territory in a sustainable way through an integrated approach that balances urban development, tourist attractiveness, environmental valorization, and economic dynamization.

A Comprehensive Vision to Transform Mahdia's Territory

The Ben Ghayadha project is based on a sustainable development vision that aims to create a new urban and economic center in the south of Mahdia. It provides for the creation of modern infrastructure, the development of high-end residential and tourist spaces, as well as the development of a marina and nautical activities to enhance the coast's attractiveness.

The project also places great importance on the valorization of the region's historical and environmental heritage, particularly through the protection of the lagoon and coast, as well as the valorization of the historic site of Borj Erras. Cultural spaces, leisure areas, and sustainable and multimodal mobility solutions are also integrated into the master plan to ensure a harmonious integration of the project into its natural and urban environment.

This global approach aims to position Ben Ghayadha as a new investment and development pole capable of strengthening Mahdia's competitiveness and contributing to Tunisia's economic and tourist attractiveness.

An Open Meeting for Investors and Development Actors

The presentation organized within the framework of the International Construction and Building Exhibition - CARTHAGE 2026 will also expose the main orientations of the master plan, the strategic challenges of the project, as well as the economic, social, and environmental development perspectives for the region.

In parallel, professional meetings, commercial animations, and awareness-raising conferences will be organized to facilitate exchanges between investors, institutional partners, economic operators, and the general public.

This presentation at the International Construction and Building Exhibition - CARTHAGE will bring together public decision-makers, investors, economic operators, urban planning experts, and territorial development actors around an ambitious vision aimed at redefining Mahdia's urban, tourist, and economic positioning in a sustainable way. Through this structuring project, Ben Ghayadha is affirming itself as one of the most important development initiatives on the Tunisian coast, destined to play a major role in regional attractiveness and Tunisia's investment dynamics in the coming years.
