Ongoing Crackdown on Drug Trafficking
As part of a continued offensive against drug trafficking, units from the El Omrane judicial police conducted a series of targeted raids on individuals notoriously involved in organized crime. This large-scale operation, which began in the Jbel Lahmar neighborhood before expanding to Ras Tabia and the Jardins d'El Menzah, resulted in the arrest of seven drug lords specializing in cocaine distribution.
During these interventions, law enforcement seized a significant haul including raw cocaine, two plates of cannabis resin, multiple packets of cannabis ready for sale, and a high-precision electronic scale. The suspects were placed in custody and made available to the justice system to answer for their actions.
