Earthquake of Magnitude 4.5 on the Richter Scale Hits Salta Province in Northwestern Argentina
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale was recorded on Saturday in the province of Salta, in the northwest of Argentina. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter was located approximately 78 kilometers from the town of San Antonio de los Cobres, at a depth of 163.4 kilometers. In October 2024, a slightly stronger earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.6, had already struck the same region, without causing any human losses or material damage.
