The Soumoud Flotilla: A Humanitarian Mission to Break the Gaza Blockade
The Soumoud flotilla, engaged in a humanitarian mission to break the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip and provide aid to its inhabitants, is now just a few miles away from the coast of the Palestinian territory. This progress comes amidst a tense context, marked by threats of interception from the Zionist occupation, which has already warned the flotilla through various means to prevent it from reaching its destination.
Mohamed Ali, a member of parliament and president of the Commission on Rights and Freedoms at the People's Assembly, who is participating in this mission, indicated during a phone intervention on Jawhara FM that the flotilla is expected to reach the "red zone" - an area where it risks encountering Zionist forces - tonight or at dawn tomorrow. He emphasized the gravity of the Zionist threats aimed at preventing the flotilla's progress.
The deputy, the only parliamentarian on board, also revealed that the aggressions against the ships began as soon as they left the port of Sidi Bou Saïd, with acts of sabotage on certain boats, including the main ship named "Family", whose engine was reportedly damaged.
