Dismantling of a Drug Trafficking Network between Kasserine and Ariana
Successful Operation by the Anti-Narcotics Unit of El Gorjani
The agents of the Anti-Narcotics Unit under the Judicial Police Directorate of El Gorjani have successfully dismantled an active drug trafficking network operating between Kasserine and Ariana, and arrested its members in Zaghouan.
According to available information, as part of the crackdown on drug trafficking networks and individuals involved in this field, the agents of the Anti-Narcotics Unit of El Gorjani received intelligence reports indicating the activity of a drug trafficking network between Kasserine and Ariana.
After obtaining the necessary judicial authorizations and warrants, the routes used by the network members were identified, allowing for a well-orchestrated ambush to be set up in Zaghouan. A vehicle carrying two individuals from Kasserine was surrounded. A thorough search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a quantity of cannabis that they intended to transport to the governorate of Ariana for distribution purposes.
Further investigation led to the arrest of other network members and the detention of all parties involved for the purposes of the investigation.
