Tunisia Accelerates Major Bridge and Road Projects Worth 4.2 Billion Dinars
During a working session held last Wednesday, Minister of Equipment and Housing Slah Zouari urged faster execution of about 80 bridge and road projects currently under construction across the country.

Representatives from the General Directorate of Bridges and Roads (DGPC) and the Directorate of Large Works (DGT) highlighted:
- Construction material shortages
- Relocation of public‑utility networks owned by concessionaires
These constraints were examined to devise concrete mitigation measures.

Looking Ahead
By 2026, the ministry expects 60 of the 80 projects to be provisionally completed, improving connectivity across 22 governorates. The 16 new sites slated for 2024 will further expand the network, reinforcing Tunisia’s commitment to modern, safe, and efficient transport infrastructure.
