Electromobility Seminar: A Biennial Event Organized by BNA Assurances
The electromobility seminar, organized by BNA Assurances, has become a biennial event where the entire ecosystem of electric mobility gathers to discuss the challenges of the sector, both nationally and internationally. The 6th edition of the seminar was held yesterday at the BNA Assurances headquarters, in the presence of representatives from the Ftusa, the Ministry of Transport, and other concerned structures.
Presentation of the First 100% Electric Motorcycle "Made in Tunisia"
This edition of the seminar confirmed the growing importance of local innovation in the field of green mobility, with the presentation of the first 100% electric motorcycle "Made in Tunisia". The event, launched in 2023, has continued to evolve, reflecting the company's committed vision. "It has become a tradition that illustrates our commitment, as a company, to the environment, as well as to our customers and partners," said Mhadheb Mhadhbi, Secretary General of BNA Assurances, during the opening of the seminar.
A Reflection of the Company's Engaged Vision
The Director General of BNA Assurances, Faker Rais, looked back on the journey begun with the launch of this initiative two years ago. Initially, the idea was to focus on a theme essential to the Tunisian economy, namely renewable energies and new technologies. "As part of our company's policy, BNA Assurances supports innovation and the adoption of new technologies. This is why BNA Assurances wanted to emphasize the theme of clean energy from the start, as it represents an alternative to fossil fuels, which are very costly for our economy and the state," he added.
Electromobility: A Priority for the State
Rais indicated that today, electromobility has become a priority for the state. The tax and financial incentives introduced by the 2025 Finance Act testify to the interest that the state is showing in this sector. "The choice of this theme is thoughtful and reflects our commitment to serving our economy, as well as the insurance market that we represent," he insisted.
The New Kayco Motorcycle: A Sensation
During the seminar, international experts presented the state of electric mobility in the world and in Tunisia. Samir Touil, an expert engineer in electric vehicles and motors, drew up a report on an industry that, subject to the ups and downs of geopolitical tensions, is still evolving. On the Tunisian market, the electric mobility sector has not yet reached its objectives, with only 800 electric cars registered, making the goal of 5,000 vehicles in 2025 still difficult to achieve, although "the trend is there and is making its way." "The electric car is the future of the automotive market in Tunisia and in the world," he concluded.
Presentation of the First 100% Electric Motorcycle "Made in Tunisia"
After last year's spotlight on the Tunisian electric car Bako Motors, the BNA Assurances electromobility seminar, faithful to its traditions, highlighted a flagship product during this 6th edition: the first 100% electric motorcycle "Made in Tunisia". The young brand Kayco, launched by young Tunisians, made a sensation and sparked the curiosity and interest of the audience.
High-Tension Batteries: A Crucial Component
This edition of the BNA Assurances seminar was also an opportunity to present the specificities of high-tension batteries, the main component of electric vehicles. "This is an extremely important topic since the battery represents 30% of the cost of the electric car," emphasized the Director General of BNA Assurances, Faker Rais.
