Tunisian Farmers to Benefit from 600,000 Quintals of High-Quality Seeds

The president of the Béja Regional Union of Agriculture, Chokri Djebbi, announced on Tuesday that 600,000 quintals of selected seeds are now available to farmers of major crops, a first in Tunisia. He recalled that during the previous campaign, the quantities of quality seeds made available did not exceed 250,000 quintals, which is less than half of what is planned for the new season. Speaking on Diwan Fl, Djebbi emphasized that these seeds, which are resistant to diseases and capable of improving productivity, represent an opportunity for agricultural operators to seize. He invited farmers to acquire and use them in the most suitable areas, in order to guarantee a better and more abundant harvest next season. According to him, this initiative is part of the efforts to strengthen food security and improve the profitability of major crops in Tunisia.
