The "Circuit Théâtre" of Siliana is in its 5th Edition
A commendable tradition has gradually been established, allowing schoolchildren from the town of Siliana to introduce themselves to theater by participating in workshops and attending performances of plays intended for young audiences. The 5th edition started on October 5th and will continue until October 10th of the same month.
A Noble Initiative
The "Circuit Théâtre" is organized by the Center for Dramatic and Scenic Arts of Siliana, with the goal of preparing the younger generation to take an interest in artistic activities and become an informed future audience, and perhaps even generate new artists. This in-depth work requires enthusiasm, energy, and determination, which the organizers of this event do not lack.
Decentralization and Promotion of Theater
The programming of this "Circuit Théâtre" advocates for decentralization in areas where there is a lack of infrastructure capable of hosting performances and providing initiation tools for shows. It is therefore a matter of promoting theatrical creations to an audience of spectators whose objective is to ensure the same opportunities as those in large cities, by going to meet young people in their daily environment, namely school.
The Right to Artistic Expression
This right to artistic expression is a powerful vector for opening critical minds, allowing young people far from cultural circuits to discover an imaginary world that contributes to developing their reflection and nourishing their expression, in order to avoid any deviation towards illicit activities. This educational approach is an example to be followed by all other governorates.
The 5th Edition
This 5th edition will focus essentially on four rural areas: Bourouis, Krib, Gaâfour, and El Aroussa, which will benefit from a program combining theater, music, and initiation workshops. The launch took place at the primary school of the Krib locality with a concert by the "Chorale El Bouhaïra", followed by the play "L'ami du livre" by Hamza Ben Aoun and "Du retour de l'école" by Yahia Faydi, preceded by a workshop dedicated to dramatic games at the Awled Youssef school.
The Program
The program spans four days and also includes the plays:
- "L'intelligent comprend dès le premier signe" by Monoom Chouayet (Wed El Araâr school)
- "Le papillon blanc" by Walid Khadhraoui (Aïn Zrig school)
- "Le royaume de l'éternité" by Hatem Maroub (2 mars 1934 school in Dhaouet)
- "Les fourmis et la paix" by Hassen Sellami (Dakhaniya Jadida school)
- "Un bel imaginaire" by Mohamed Lakhouas (Médine school)
- The closing of this cycle with "Le petit prince" by Taher Issa Belarbi (Borj Messaoudi school)
