Nawaat Festival Returns for its Fifth Edition: "Art is Resistance, Freedom Triumphs"
The Nawaat festival is set to return for its fifth edition on September 26, 27, and 28, under the theme "Art is Resistance, Freedom Triumphs".
A Celebration of Creative Expression
"Three days to celebrate forms of expression that refuse to back down. Three days to amplify voices that are often silenced. Three days to transform the stage into a space for struggle, memory, and dreams," announce the organizers. The event, which promotes "art that disrupts, questions, and liberates", will be held at the association's headquarters, located at 18 Rue de Médine, in the Belvédère area of Tunis. The program will feature music, theater, cinema, performances, installations, and debates at the heart of current events.
Showcasing Innovative Projects
This year's festival will also showcase the work accomplished through the "Innawaation" project, a creative media incubator. This program spans a period of research, implementation, and dissemination, which can last up to nine months. To support participants, Nawaat provides a production budget and personalized support for project development and other media content. Participants benefit from close collaboration with Nawaat's permanent team, who provide access to technical infrastructure, logistics, and human resources.
