The Ooredoo Night Run by Xiaomi: A Celebration of Sport, Community, and Solidarity
The appointment is now set in the sports and solidarity agenda of the month of Ramadan. On March 14, 2026, Habib Bourguiba Avenue, the iconic artery of the capital, will vibrate to the rhythm of the 5th edition of the Ooredoo Night Run by Xiaomi, an event that has become, over the years, much more than just a nighttime run.
Official Announcement
The official announcement was made on Friday, February 13, 2026, during a press conference organized at the headquarters of Ooredoo Tunisia, marking the launch of registrations for an anniversary edition placed under the sign of sport, community, and solidarity.
A New Edition with Ambition
From the start, this new edition stands out for its ambition. To bring together more than 4,500 runners on the 5 km and 10 km courses, coming from Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya, to welcome 500 children on the 2 km course, to integrate all generations (with dedicated podiums for handisport and over 65 years old) and to offer an immersive experience combining sport, animation, and innovation.
A Clear Objective
The objective is clear: to make the Night Run a celebration of living together, in the heart of Tunis, in the unique atmosphere of Ramadan evenings.
An Event that Carries Meaning
For Eyas Naif Assaf, General Manager of Ooredoo Tunisia, the Ooredoo Night Run by Xiaomi embodies a vision above all. "At Ooredoo, our role goes beyond connectivity. We are committed to creating experiences that bring people together and strengthen the social fabric of our communities," he declared. According to him, reaching a fifth edition testifies to the deep anchoring of this initiative in the national landscape and the renewed trust of the public.
A Human Dimension
But beyond the sporting performance, the leader insists on the human dimension of the event. Each step, each participation is thought of as a message of hope, in perfect harmony with the spirit of the month of Ramadan. "We want each stage of this race to be a symbol of support, trust, and hope," he emphasized, while thanking the main partner Xiaomi and all the partners who have supported the event since its inception.
Sport, Innovation, and Shared Vision
For his part, Sylvester Huang, Commercial Director of Xiaomi Tunisia, looked back on the evolution of the Night Run, which has gone "from a simple idea to one of the most anticipated sporting events of Ramadan". For him, when the runners start under the lights of Bourguiba Avenue, it's the whole city that comes alive, carried by a collective positive energy.
A Partnership with a Shared Vision
This vision echoes the values of Xiaomi, which places technological innovation at the service of a better and more accessible lifestyle. Tunisia, considered a strategic market for Xiaomi in Africa, represents a long-term investment terrain and a natural partner for initiatives combining sport, technology, and social commitment. "We are proud to be part of the Ooredoo Night Run by Xiaomi, an event that perfectly combines energy, innovation, and community spirit," he affirmed, saying he was enthusiastic about continuing this collaboration and taking it to new heights.
Running for Nour, Running for Hope
Faithful to its spirit of innovation, this 5th edition introduces new animations and experiences, including a virtual reality immersion to discover the medina of Tunis by bike, live animations, and interactive spaces for families and spectators.
International Opportunities
For the second consecutive year, the winners of the 5 km and 10 km races will also have the opportunity to represent Tunisia at the Doha Marathon in 2027, offering an international opening to local talents.
A Stronger Social Commitment
But what deeply distinguishes this anniversary edition is its strengthened social commitment. As part of the RSE Tounes T3ich program, Ooredoo is partnering with the Ahna Maak organization to carry a strong message: running to give hope back. The entirety of the registration fees will be dedicated to supporting Nour Soltani, an 18-year-old high school student currently in rehabilitation after a femoral amputation following an osteosarcoma.
A Call to Action
Through this initiative, participants will directly contribute to the financing of a prosthesis and essential medical equipment to enable Nour to regain her mobility, pursue her studies, and rebuild her autonomy. "Let's revive Nour's steps": a slogan that summarizes the spirit of this edition, where each step becomes an act of solidarity.
Registration Now Open
Note that registrations are now open on www.ooredoorun.tn, inviting runners and walkers to take part in a night where sport, light, and human commitment meet in the heart of Tunis. On March 14, on Bourguiba Avenue, the Ooredoo Night Run by Xiaomi promises one thing: to transform collective effort into shared hope.
