Minister of Communication Technologies, Soufiene Hemissi, Announces Completion of Cybersecurity Strategy Project for 2026-2030
In a statement made on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, on national radio, on the sidelines of a conference titled "Cybercrimes in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Modern Technological Developments," Soufiene Hemissi specified that the ratification procedures for the strategy project will be launched in the coming days.
Key Components of the Strategy
According to the minister, the strategy revolves around several axes, including:
- Resilient protection of national infrastructure
- Adaptation of legislation to keep pace with all technological developments
- Support for capacities and development of skills
In this context, Soufiene Hemissi emphasized that human capital is considered the foundation of the development of this strategy, as it is essential for facing cyberwars.
Cyberattack Statistics
The minister revealed that the world records a cyberattack every 39 seconds, indicating that statistics confirm that 70% of companies worldwide have been victims of attacks over the past three months, and that 30% of them did not detect the attack until after more than two weeks.
Tunisia's Vulnerability to Cyber Threats
On his part, Interior Minister Khaled Nouri affirmed that Tunisia is not immune to these threats and crimes. He stressed the importance of better coordination and enhanced preparedness, thanks to the combination of efforts between the different structures of the state, in order to ensure digital sovereignty in Tunisia.
