International Neapolis Festival for Children's Theater to Take Place from December 21 to 28, 2025

The International Neapolis Festival for Children's Theater will be held from December 21 to 28, 2025, with one of the richest programs since its creation in 1986, aiming to offer children a space for wonder, creativity, and encounter, while contributing to the cultural influence of Tunisia. The organizers have expanded the programming to include Sfax (Aguereb), Bizerte, Kairouan (Chebika), Tunis (Bardo), Siliana, and Nabeul and Menzel Bouzelfa, in order to strengthen access to culture for all at the national level.

A Diverse Range of Performances

Children and families will be able to discover a plurality of scenic universes carried by companies from several continents, including:

  • Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, and Russia from Europe
  • Iran, China, and Vietnam from Asia
  • Algeria, Morocco, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, and Oman from the Arab world The artistic programming of this 38th edition is composed of theater, puppetry, dance, pantomime, circus, visual performances, and hybrid creations, according to the organizers.

Tunisian Theater Takes Center Stage

Tunisian theater occupies a prominent place this year, with 13 national shows featuring works that reflect the diversity of Tunisian artistic styles and languages.

Parallel Activities and Workshops

The festival also offers parallel activities aimed at artistic development and professional exchange, including:

  • Seminars bringing together specialists, educators, and artists
  • Professional meetings promoting cooperation between Tunisian and foreign companies

Public Space and Street Performances

Public space will also play a major role, with daily street programming featuring animations, spontaneous performances, mascots, stilt walkers, clowns, and festive interventions in the neighborhoods and streets of Nabeul.

The Petit Carnaval

The highlight of this popular atmosphere is the Petit Carnaval on Monday, December 22, featuring a colorful parade bringing together children, troops, families, and residents in a joyful and unifying atmosphere.

The 5th Edition of the Fable Days

This programming also includes the 5th edition of the Fable Days, where Tunisian and Algerian storytellers will tell stories and adventures to young audiences, reminiscent of family evenings animated by our grandparents.
