Tunisian Water Observatory Reports Widespread Water Disruptions
The Tunisian Water Observatory announced that it recorded 267 unannounced water cuts and disruptions to the potable water supply across the entire Tunisian territory in August 2025. This information was published today, Friday, in a statement from the Observatory.
According to the same source, 310 reports were documented during the same month. The Kef governorate tops the "thirst rankings" with 36 reports, closely followed by Ben Arous with 26. The governorates of Gabès, Médenine, and Bizerte recorded 21, 20, and 20 reports, respectively. Additionally, 29 protest movements were reported in certain regions.
