Tunisia's Membership in COMESA
It is worth noting that Tunisia signed the accession agreement to this regional economic grouping in July 2018. COMESA comprises 21 African countries and is the largest economic bloc on the continent in terms of trade and investment. This accession is part of Tunisia's commitment to economic and regional integration and aims to expand partnerships with East and Southern African countries, with a view to activating the African Continental Free Trade Area and achieving an economic development model.
