Etoile Sportive du Sahel Announces Signing of Kenyan Defender Alphonse Omija
Etoile Sportive du Sahel has announced the signing of international Kenyan central defender Alphonse Omija, who joins the team from Kenyan club Gor Mahia. Omija, 22, has previously played for Gor Mahia and Kariobangi Sharks in Kenya, as well as Omani club Dhofar. Etoile du Sahel is seeking to strengthen its squad with foreign players who can bring significant added value, following a disappointing start to the season that has fallen short of expectations from its supporters in the Professional Football League 1 championship. The club has collected 4 points thanks to a win against AS Gabès, a draw against US Ben Guerdane, and two losses against Jeunesse d'El Omrane and Club Africain.
